Say hello to Fern, the gorgeous black Angus calf.
This rambunctious looking calf is modelled after the Aberdeen Angus, a popular breed of medium sized beef cattle, famed for its marbled meat.
This naturally hornless breed originates from north-eastern Scotland and comes in two colors; solid black and solid red. Black is the native color for this breed, with red individuals being a fairly new occurance. The two colors are treated as seperate breeds in the United States, namely Black Angus and Red Angus. Black Angus is the most common breed of beef cattle in the United States. Fern is a black Angus and is covered from top to toe by jet black fur.
This cute black Angus calf will be made upon order. As with all items in my store, this plush was designed by me and will also be reproduced by me. A lot of effort and care goes into making a detailed plush like this. Particularly into the snout and and feet, which contain many tiny parts and are notoriously hard to assemble, but also into carefully trimming the excess fur. Once finished, this plush stands approximately 30 cm tall and measures around 41 cm from nose to butt.
This plushie will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have a cat.
The body will be made from regular quality faux fur with a pile length of 15 mm. Wooly faux fur is to be used for the tail tip. Nose and feet will be made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. Minky style fabric with a 5 mm nap will be used for the furry parts of the snout and micro fiber cloth for the tongue. The plush will be fitted with 14 mm plastic safety eyes, which are lined with black imitate leather to improve their shape and to make them more lifelike. The body will be stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers until firm enough for the plush to stand properly.
Making a calf plush usually takes me 1-3 weeks, but I may need longer, depending on how busy I am at the time of the order. Once finished the plush will be shipped within 2 workdays.
This plush is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plush can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
