Item Description:
Say hello to baby cow Cotton! This adorable and slightly shaggy looking calf stands about 30 cm tall. It is almost completely white, except for a few eye catching black patches localized to the ears and shoulder, along with a whole spray of tiny speckles dotting the pink nose. Cotton was commissioned as a surprise birthday gift. and is based on a living calf by the same name, whom the receptient once knew and loved.
A lot of effort and care has gone into making this plushie as life like as possible. The muzzle is very rich in details. It features proper nostrils and a slightly opened mouth with a pink tongue that can be tucked away inside. The feet have been given just as much attention and sport actual cloven hooves and petite dew claws. Every one of these tiny details and the above mentioned markings have been sewn by hand. The tiny nose speckles were done with a textile marker. The ear tag was added as a surprise and finishing touch on my part. Planning and production time for this plushie was around 33 hours over a period of 7 days.
Materials:
This cute little boy was made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have cats.
Cotton's body is made from a combination of care bear fur and short rabbit style faux fur with a pile length of 15 mm and 10 mm respectively. The tail tip is made from luxuary mongolian faux fur. The nose and feet are made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. The furry parts of the snout are made with minky fabric and the tongue is made with upholstery grade velour. Cotton has been fitted with 14 mm plastic safety eyes. Black imitate leather line the eyes, to improve their shape and for an added touch of realism. Siliconized polyester fibers have been used to stuff Cotton's body, until firm enough to stand properly. The tag is made from felt. Textile marker was used for the tiny speckles on the nose and the text on the tag.
Usage:
This plushie is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plushie can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
