Say hello to Flick the lovable and utterly chatty calf! This shaggy looking highland calf is covered by thick chestnut colored fur and stands about 28 cm tall. He is a Special Edition plush, containing a classic teddy bear growler, which enables him to make cute noises when handled.
This plush was modeled after one of the most iconic cow breeds out there; the Scottish Highland. Although most famous for their red and shaggy fur, Highland cattle actually come in a range of colors. This particular one is of the most commonly known color and would be refered to as "red".
This adorable calf will be made upon order. As with all items in my store, this plush was designed by me and will also be reproduced by me. A lot of effort and care goes into making a detailed plush like this. Particularly into the snout and and feet, which contain many tiny parts and are notoriously hard to assemble, but also into carefully trimming the excess fur. Once finished, this plush stands approximately 28 cm tall and measures 41 cm from nose to butt.
This plush will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have a cat.
The body will be made from nice quality faux fur with a pile length of 25 mm. Nose and feet will be made with synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it. Minky will be used for the furry parts of the snout and micro fiber cloth for the tongue. The plush will be fitted with plastic safety eyes that measure 14 mm across and are fastened with washers. Imitate leather will be used to outline the eyes to improve their shape and to make them more life like. The body will be stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers until firm enough for the plush to stand properly.
The growler is mader of hard plastic and will be located inside the head for a more realistic origin of the mooing sound. It makes this plush heavier than my regular calves and it has a fairly hard knucklehead for a plushie.
Making a calf plush usually takes me 1-3 weeks, but I may need longer, depending on how busy I am at the time of the order. Once finished the plush will be shipped within 2 workdays.
This plush is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from children and pets at all times. The plush can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
