Meet Flick the adorable looking "Hielan coo". This beautifully made cow plushie stands about 33 cm tall and is covered from top to toe by shaggy, cinnamon brown fur. It is made in a lifelike style and features many realistic details. The muzzle, for example, has proper nostrils and a slightly opened mouth with a little tongue, that can be tucked away inside it. The feet are just as intricately made, sporting actual cloven hooves and petite dew claws. Every single one of these tiny details has been assembled by hand. All in all this highly decorative plushie is made from 88 handsewn pieces!
Flick is modeled after one of the most iconic looking cow breeds out there, the Scottish Highland. Although most famous for their red and shaggy fur, Highland cattle actually come in a range of colors. This particular plushie has the commonly seen reddish brown color, that the breed is known for, and would be referred to as a red Highland.
This highly collectible plushie will be created upon order. It will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free, as I have cats. As with all the items in my store, this plushie was originally designed by me, and it will also be reproduced by me. A lot of time and effort goes into making a detailed plushie like this. Particularly into the muzzle and feet, which contain tiny parts that are notoriously hard to assemble, but also into carefully trimming the excess fur around the eyes and feet. Once finished, this plushie will stand about 33 cm tall and measure around 41 cm from nose to butt.
The body will be made from fluffy faux fur, with a pile length of 25 mm. The tail tip will be made from slightly wavy, mongolian style faux fur, with an avarage pile length of 70mm. Minky will be used for the furry parts of the muzzle, and high quality velour for the tongue. The front of the nose and feet will be made from faux suede, a fabric that looks and feels like brushed leather. The plushie will be fitted with plastic safety eyes, that are fastened with washers and measure 14 mm across. Imitate leather will be used to outline the eyes, improving their shape and look. Internal fabric seals will be added to the head and legs, keeping the stuffing in place, whilst also allowing for body sections to be individually stuffed. The plushie will be stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers, according to the selected firmness. If the plushie is intended to be posable, plastic pellets will be added to the lower legs and tail for added weight. Otherwise it will be stuffed more firmly, and have thread sculpting added, to better define the belly area and curvature of the neck.
This artist made plushie is intended for use by teenagers or adults. It is incredibly rare and highly collectible, as it has only been created twice up to this point. It is best used for indoors decoration purposes and/or as a photo prop. The quality of the plushie is such, that it is unlikely to break from gentle play or the occational hug, but it is not a toy. It was never created with play or excessive handling in mind, and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. The plushie can not be washed if it gets dirty, without risking marker bleed-through or quality changes to the fur. The tiny details of the muzzle and feet are also very susceptible to damage.
Creating a detailed plushie like this usually takes me 3-4 weeks, but I might need longer, depending on how busy I am at the time of the order. The finished plushie will be shipped in a sturdy and fully trackable box, using the services of PostNord, GLS or CoolEurope.
