Say hi to Moody Thunder! This adorable calf was modeled after one of the most iconic cow breeds out there; the Scottish Highland Cattle. Although most famous for their red and shaggy fur, Highland cattle actually come in a range of colors. This particular one would be refered to as a dark "silver dun". The snout is dark grey and is very rich in details. It features a slightly opened mouth with a pink tongue that can be tucked away inside and actual nostrils. The cloven hooves are given just as much attention and sport proper cloves and petite dew claws. Every one of these tiny details are assembled and sewn by hand.
This cute highland calf will be recreated upon order. As with all items in my store, this plushie was designed by me and will also be reproduced by me. A lot of effort and care goes into making a detailed plushie like this. Particularly into the snout and and feet, which contain many tiny parts and are notoriously hard to assemble, but also into carefully trimming the excess fur. Once finished, this plushie stands approximately 33 cm tall and measures around 42 cm from nose to butt.
This plushie will be made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entierly pet free as I have cats.
Moody Thunder's body will be made from high quality faux fur with a slightly shaggy structure and a pile length of 23 mm. Synthetic suede, a fabric that is made to resemble brushed leather and has a soft feel to it, will be used for the nose and feet. Minky will be used for the furry parts of the snout and upholstery grade velour for the tongue. The plushie will be fitted with plastic safety eyes that measure 14 mm across and are fastened with washers. Imitate leather will be used to outline the eyes to improve their shape and to make them more life like. The body will be stuffed with siliconized polyester fibers until firm enough for the plushie to stand properly.
Making a calf plushie usually takes me 1-3 weeks, but I may need longer, depending on how busy I am at the time of the order.
This plushie is best used as an ornamental piece for indoors decoration purposes. It is not suitable as a toy and should be kept away from young children and pets at all times. It can be used for play with older children if handled gently. Keep in mind though, that this is an artist doll. It is a work of art and not a toy. The plushie can't be washed if it gets dirty and may easily get damaged.
